Our services are delivered by independently owned and operated Tile Rescue franchise businesses. Each franchisee owns their local business and is trained in Tile Rescue methods, equipment, and service standards to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for customers.

1995-2006
How It All Began
Our Beginnings
Tile Rescue has a compelling history that showcases its evolution from a small business in Sydney to a thriving national franchise system with over 60 franchisees.
Let’s dive into the key milestones in the history of Tile Rescue:
Tile Rescue’s journey began in Sydney in 1995, when its founder, Bill Hyde, entered the tile and grout repair business.
With his own small business, Bill gained invaluable experience in restoring tiled surfaces in and around Sydney. His expertise allowed him to refine the intricate processes required for this specialised field and even design custom tools and machinery.
2006-2007
A Growing Business
Going National
In 2006, Bill and his wife, Jenny, decided to move from Sydney to Hawks Nest, NSW, with their young family. This relocation marked a significant turning point for Tile Rescue as they established the company in their new location.
Tile Rescue took its first step into franchising in 2007 when they secured their inaugural franchise. Rod Jacobsen became the franchisee for Tile Rescue Port Stephens and Hunter Valley, which has remained successful over the years, employing three staff members and operating three vans.
2008-Today

Going Strong
In just one year, Tile Rescue experienced rapid expansion, growing from one franchise to five by 2008. These franchises, namely Tile Rescue Frankston, Tile Rescue Forster, Tile Rescue East Lakes, and Tile Rescue Lake Macquarie, have continued to thrive.
Tile Rescue has come a long way since its humble beginnings. As of the present day, the Tile Rescue franchise system boasts over 60 franchisees across Australia and employs a dedicated staff of 12. We have established our National Support Office in Tea Gardens, emphasising their commitment to providing support and resources to franchisees.
