The Anti Slip process we use is called Micro Etching.
What is Micro Etching?
It is a common process that creates virtually invisible microscopic grooves on the tile surface that creates a slip resistant surface. This treatment is ideal for ceramic, porcelain, granite and mosaic tiles as well as terrazzo and concrete.
Suitable for all areas of the home or business, in fact anywhere that wet or slippery tiles create an accident risk.

How long will the treatment last?
Up to five years! Tile Rescue Anti Slip treatment penetrates the tile deeper than just coating, however it will become less effective if a build-up of dirty, oil, soap or fat accumulate on the floor surface. For this reason we recommend scheduling an annual maintenance clean with your technician at the time of treatment.
Independent tests have proven that our Anti-Slip treatment will provide an average 75-100% improvement in slip resistance in wet conditions which is when most accidents occur.

WHAT ARE THE CONSIDERATIONS?
The effectiveness of the treatment can last up to 5 years, however, this depends on factors such as foot traffic and proper after care.
This is a chemical treatment that changes the structure of the tile surface. Each tile type responds differently to micro etching which can produce varied results.
- RHigh gloss tiles will lose some of their shine, sometimes gaining a matte appearance.
- RMicro etching can occasionally lead to some tile discolouration, lightening or colour inconsistencies. The results depend on the tile type and colour.
- RImproved grip may lead to more dirt in grooves, making cleaning a challenge. Adjust your cleaning method to prevent difficulty in grime removal and maintain the non-slip effectiveness of the surface.
